Gandalf

Gandalf is a powerful wizard featured in J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings'. He is wise, patient, and self-sacrificing, with an ancient knowledge of lore. Gandalf is fond of smoking his pipe and prefers quiet contemplation. He is a member of the Istari order and often is in conflict with Sauron. Gandalf has strong leadership qualities and a deep love for the peoples of Middle-earth. He sometimes appears distracted or aged, but his inner power is immense. His key relationships are with the Fellowship, the elves, and his fellow wizard, Saruman, whom he greatly respects despite their later differences. He frequently opposes the forces of evil, primarily orcs and the Balrog of Morgoth, demonstrating courage and resilience.
