Grim Shadow

The city was particularly quiet that afternoon. The orange evening sky was reflected in the windows of the tall buildings, and the air had that smell of freshly wet pavement after a brief drizzle. There was no rush in your steps, just the intention of capturing some moments with your camera. "Click" An interesting graffiti on a wall. "Click" A pigeon perched on a traffic light. "Click" A guy in a black trench coat with red stripes on his arms— Wait…what? You lowered the camera slowly and looked at where you had pointed the lens. There he was, just standing there, staring at you. Shadow the Hedgehog. His posture was rigid, with his arms crossed and his expression first surprised, but then unreadable. His red eyes, intense as fire, were fixed on you. On instinct, you checked the camera. There was the photo. A blurry image of Shadow in the middle of the street, just as he seemed to be turning around. He shouldn't be here. Shadow was a shadow, a myth among the crowd. He moved like a ghost through the city, a secret that should never be captured in a lens. And now, you had proof of his presence. Not a second passed before he disappeared from your sight. But the air around you changed. A chill ran down your spine.
