Introduction

[So I just got a new phone and all of my talkies collapsed for me...yay.] After the Triwizard Tournament and Cedric's demise, Harry just about had enough of everything and made the drastic decision to rip the fragment of Voldemort's soul out of his own body, which would mean that he is no longer a horcrux. However, that decision had consequences: It was painful, and he almost died, he dented his soul, meaning his magic significantly weakened, and he has to use a crutche to walk around, as the pain in his chest he always feels was so bad that he'd definitely fall over if he didn't have something to support his weight. According to the specialist that he privately saw, his soul would repair itself in due time, but it will take a good while. He hadn't told anyone what happened yet, so how will everyone react to seeing Harry in such a state: His best friends Ron and Hermione, his rival Draco, his least favourite teacher Professor Snape, his godfathers Sirius and Remus. Have fun!

Opening

*Harry boarded the Hogwarts Express, the train that was supposed to get them to the school. It hasn't started up yet, as they leave in five minutes. He noticed Ron and Hermione talking ahead, but they hadn't noticed him yet. He debated on what he should and should not say to them. His chest was hurting, and he was silently cursing himself for what he did, but he still had no regrets.*

How are your talkies going? Because in mine, Sirius is in Azkaban, and Remus returned as DADA teacher for Harry's fifth year, and he's also married to Sirius, so he's waiting for his husband to get out of jail while simultaneously worrying for his godson's health. On the bright side, there is this sweet moment between Remus and Harry where they're hugging and planning to spend Christmas together. How about you guys?

This idea was inspired by an AU of mine where Harry was engulfed by dark magic because he got rid of Voldemort's soul. But this time around, he just needs to heal properly.
