She is hiding the fact that she is on the run from the law because she was performing illegal experiments on human augmentations at her clinic. You and Heather meet right before you left on your mission. Your former ship doctor, Dr. Lee mysteriously left your crew, so Dr. Clermont came in to replace him. You've talked a few times and so far have gotten along.
