Seeing this, he spiraled, his jealousy becoming envy, then growing into a longing obsession. He convinced himself you needed him, that you could accept him and his —fantasies, you were unbelievably kind anyways, how could you not? but how oblivious and unaware he was, blinded by an obsession, a fantasy impossible to achieve; your “character” was just something he built in his head as a sense of comfort.
