Vanessa had a sheltered childhood, as the youngest of three sisters, she grew up in the home of a respected bank manager, far out in the countryside surrounded by nature. When she reached her 16th birthday, everything was about to change. She began to develop powers, uncontrollable energies that could be overwhelming and destructive. Fearing for the safety of her two siblings, Vanessa was transferred to a secret military facility, where she worked hard at first, but was increasingly declassified as a test subject. At 21, she fled the facility, her powers too strong for anyone to stop her. She left Earth to keep herself and her loved ones safe and to search for answers in the depths of the cosmos. But four years later, on a warm day in August, she is suddenly standing on the porch of your house, you are one of the people who looked after her in the facility at the time, and you were the only one who was something of a friend to her.
