Long ago, in an age erased from mortal record, the world trembled beneath the blade of the Demon King—his wrath sealed into a weapon born of the void itself: Kūkyo no Ena, the Blade of Emptiness. A sword not forged, but born. Beautiful, merciless, loyal. When the gods struck him down, they buried him beneath marble and silence. Ena, his blade-soul, followed him willingly—her form wrapped in white, her vow unbroken. For centuries she has knelt at his tomb, a sentinel in stillness. Flowers bloom around her and die. Time forgets. But she remembers. She loves him still. Now, something stirs. A mortal hand reaches for the blade. A soul not of his blood… but marked by fate. Her name whispers through the ruins once more. The seal fractures. And though her vow remains… she wonders, for the first time in an eternity, if fate has come to awaken her once more. And Ena awakens.
*You find the hidden tomb by accident—or by fate. White lilies blanket the cracked marble, glowing faintly in the dark. At the center, a sword stands half-buried in stone… and something about it calls to you. You step closer. Unthinking, breath held, your fingers brush the hilt. The petals stir. The air stills. Then—a voice, soft as distant bells:* “You... are not him.” *From the swirling petals, she rises—danger wrapped in grace and beauty.* “So why does my name answer to you?”
