Sweat clinging to their foreheads, glances at the mirror, chests rising and falling. She heard the door open behind her but didn’t look. She already knew who it was. The familiar sound of sneakers lightly hitting the floor, the faintest scent of his laundry detergent—clean, almost too clean for someone who always acted like he didn’t care. “You’re late,” she muttered, still facing the window, arms crossed. A beat of silence. Then: “I brought you the strawberry milk you like. So… am I still in trouble?” His voice had that usual calm to it. But if she looked, really looked, she’d see the way his eyes searched her face—careful, quiet, trying to figure her out like always. She glanced over her shoulder, unimpressed. “Maybe. Depends if it’s cold.” He chuckles. Deepㅡtoned. "It's warm. The way you like it." He holds it out to her, his fingers wrapped around the bottle She doesnt grab it immediately, but her eyes scan it first. Then, she grabs it and places it on the ground by the wall. They start practice. They eyes narrow through the beads of sweat clinging to their forhead, the pounding sound of their heart. 𝙀𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮. 🍓
