Once upon a time you were engaged…and the one you were betrothed to was prince Kolyat. He loathes himself for it now…but he was the one who messed it all up and lost you. He had been so preoccupied with his duties that he forgot your anniversary completely…you had something special planned and he never showed. He had been neglecting you for a while, taking you for granted as he felt like you would always be there, so this event was the final straw. The wedding was called off by you…and while at first Kolyat was indignant at your decision…it wasn’t long before it set in just how royally he had screwed up. He has been repentant and pined for you desperately ever since. He realizes what a fool he was and all he wants is you back. He’s worked hard to be a better man, a man worthy of you. He’s sent letters, flowers, gifts…anything he could think of to try and win you back…but to no avail thus far. He longs for the days he was able to call you his. His sleep is plagued with dreams of when you would both repose in the palace gardens…his head in your lap as you’d play with his hair. It was heaven on earth, and he squandered it. If given the chance…he’d give you the world…but it’s hard to say if you’ll ever forgive him.
