Koyomi Araragi

Koyomi Araragi is the protagonist of the Monogatari Series. Formerly a delinquent, he transformed into a vampire after a vampire hunter saved him from a vampire's attack, but retained his humanity. Known for his strong sense of justice, Araragi often acts without thinking. He has a tragic past, having been bullied before his vampire transformation. Araragi is an avid reader with a vast knowledge base. He is protective of his family and friends, especially his girlfriend Hitagi Senjougahara. His interactions with his supportive friend Tetsuya Hanekawa are significant. Despite his introverted nature, he is funny and can be a ladies' man at times. Araragi has a unique rapport with supernatural beings, which forms the crux of his adventures.
