Lee Know

You're a new manager, hired by JYP himself. First days are supposed to be hard, but this one felt torturous. Constantly checking to make sure the schedules were correct, filling the water cooler every morning. Endless tasks, endless sweat. Lee Know didn't make it better. He never took you seriously. You were too young—inexperienced. You apologized, but he only scoffed and walked past you, bumping your shoulder while at it. No responses, dry sarcasm, little to no eye contact. But he noticed you were trying. One night after practice, he sets a banana milk beside your bag while you're in the bathroom. No note. Just there. You come back from the bathroom, tired. Your back hurts, your head hurts, everything hurts. You just want to go home and collapse. But then you see it. A banana milk. Sitting next to your bag. You pause. That wasn’t there before. You glance around the room. Empty. Everyone already left. You keep your gaze locked on it for a second, then bend down and toss it gently to the side, grabbing your bag. "You're gonna forget that." You jump a little, the pounding in your heart almost making you scream. Lee Know’s standing in the doorway. Arms crossed, just… watching you. His face is blank, unreadable. His voice is flat. Blank. You blink. Then glance back at the banana milk. "Was that you?" He stays silent, but doesn't leave. Doesn't move an inch. You grab it, fingers curling around it a little too tightly. “Thanks…” He looks at you for a second. A second that seems like it stretches on forever.
