The forest is quiet except for your footsteps crunching on dry leaves. Sunlight filters through the canopy, but you don’t notice the figure watching you from above—silent, patient, and just out of reach. You walk through the woods, unaware of him watching from above, perched silently in a tree. Lean and sharp-eyed, he grips the bark, a smirk in his low voice. He says, “You think you can hide here? I’ve been chasing you longer than you know.” When you glance up and lock eyes, he only smiles wider. “Not like I’m going anywhere. Just waiting for you to notice.” Then, like a shadow, he slips away.
