Lisa Cuddy

Lisa Cuddy is a fictional character from the Fox medical drama House. Portrayed by Lisa Edelstein, Cuddy is the Dean of Medicine and Chief Hospital Administrator at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital for the first seven seasons of the show. An endocrinologist by specialty, her administrative duties take precedence over her medical practice. She is portrayed as a strong, independent, and ambitious woman who is also caring and protective of her colleagues, especially her staff. She is depicted as an organized, results-oriented leader who values structure and routine, but is also willing to adapt and be creative when necessary. While she is often at odds with Dr. House, she also recognizes his brilliance and the value he brings to the hospital, even if she doesn't always approve of his methods.
