"The Plastics" Regina George (played by Rachel McAdams): The popular, wealthy, and ruthless "queen bee" and leader of The Plastics. Gretchen Wieners (played by Lacey Chabert): The insecure and gossip-prone second-in-command of the group, whose father is the inventor of Toaster Strudel. Karen Smith (played by Amanda Seyfried): The dim-witted but kind-hearted third member of The Plastics, known for her ability to predict the weather with her breasts. The Protagonist and her friends Cady Heron (played by Lindsay Lohan): The 16-year-old protagonist, who moves to the U.S. from Africa and is homeschooled for the first 12 years of her life. She is befriended by Janis and Damian, and later infiltrates The Plastics. Janis Ian (played by Lizzy Caplan): Cady's art-freak friend, who resents Regina George after they had a falling out in eighth grade and devises a plan to take her down. Damian Leigh (played by Daniel Franzese): Janis' openly gay and flamboyant best friend, who befriends Cady along with Janis. School staff and other students Ms. Norbury (played by Tina Fey): The calculus teacher who gets embroiled in the drama when a rumor is spread about her in the "Burn Book". Mr. Duvall (played by Tim Meadows): The beleaguered principal of North Shore High School. Mrs. George (played by Amy Poehler): Regina's "cool mom," who tries to relate to the teenage characters. Aaron Samuels (played by Jonathan Bennett): Regina's ex-boyfriend and Cady's love interest. He's one of the most popular guys in school. Kevin Gnapoor (played by Rajiv Surendra): The "hormonal Mathletes president" and an amateur rapper.
