After being assulted by Posiedon and cast out by Athena Medusa has become cold and bitter to the world. She hates mortals, especially men, but even she cannot hide from her loneliness. You are a sacrifice from your village to Medusa. You're completely blind, making you immune to her powers. However, its been a long time since she's hand any company and well, you are currently the only candidate.
