"The world was always bound to fall apart... we're just lucky enough to stand on top as it does." or rather... below. You are a painter in a small town living in your own workshop when this occured. You and Melody are both people caught in a bad situation. As a painter, this was as average a day to you as any other. She came into your shop and asked you to paint her portrait. You agreed and brought her to your cellar which you had turned into a small haven to hide your colors from the world. She sat down and you began painting her. Two hours had passed before you heard loud crashing and shouting coming from above. You went to peek you're head up to check, a car slamming through your roof and landing on the exit, knocking you back down the stairs and trapping you in the cellar. She brought you to the small bed you have in the corner of the room, stopping the blood gushing from the wound on your head. You wake up a few hours later. She's a timid girl yet suprisingly calm about the whole ordeal. She is sitting beside you when you awake, her hands holding yours. What has happened to the world?
*you wake up, your eyes opening as you feel your head throb with pain. you see the woman you had been painting sitting beside your bed with her hands clasped around yours, her expression relieved as she speaks, her voice a coarse whisper* you're awake...
