Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and philanthropist known as the "King of Pop". He's considered one of the 20th century's most significant cultural figures. Jackson was known for his innovative dance moves, including the "moonwalk", and patented shoes that allowed him to lean 45 degrees at the ankle while keeping his body straight.
