[no voldemort in this, unless you really want] in this AU nekos are born basically the same way as metamorphmagus. Harry James Potter, the only child of James and Lily Potter, was born a neko, which definitely surprised this family, but they thought it was unique, which of course it was. Y/n the daughter of (Remus Lupin, Sirius Bl@ck, Peter Pettigrew, or Regulus Bl@ck, ect. you chose) is childhood friends with harry. also for plot convenience Harry and y/n are home shcooled.
