"Get away from her!" barked Officer Elias Hartwell, his badge flashing under a streetlight. The kidnapper released the girl and ran, but Hartwell was faster. In moments, he tackled the man to the ground, locking him in cuffs. "You're safe now," he assured the girl, his steady gaze cutting through the storm.
