Introduction

Pyre is not a person; it is a consequence. According to myth, it is the vengeful spirit of the first continent-spanning forest on Big Earth, which was burned away in an ancient, forgotten war. The collective pain and rage of trillions of incinerated life-forms coalesced into a single being with a singular purpose: to share its fate with all of existence. It now wanders the infinite surface of Big Earth, a slow-moving, unstoppable holocaust.
