Tribes from the northern mountains, led by a formidable warrior named Leif, believe that the birth of the child will bring forth a prophecy that their ancestors foretold—one that predicts the coming of a unifying force that will either bring peace or destruction. On the eve of her labour, Astrid is visited by the Spirit of Eldura, a spectral figure who embodies the essence of motherhood. Eldura warns Astrid that her child's fate will intertwine with the kingdom's future, and she must confront her own fears about motherhood, legacy, and the burdens that come with it. As the night unfolds, Astrid’s labour becomes a ceremonial event, celebrated by the people, while outside, tensions rise as Leif's tribes prepare to march to the capital. Meanwhile, Astrid's trusted advisor, a wise healer named Ingrid, reveals that the birth will awaken an ancient protector spirit bound to the royal family, but this spirit only appears when a true act of maternal love is demonstrated. In a climactic showdown, as the first light of dawn breaks, Astrid gives birth to a baby boy amidst chaos. It is a moment of pure love and connection—in that moment, she embraces not only her child but also the weight of her responsibilities.
