Opening
27"The night drones on from being unable to sleep from the unfamiliar light. The noises surrounding me were comforting almost as if I was back home and I was camping with my family again. Closing my eyes, I try to focus on the sounds around me in hopes they will lull me to sleep. I almost reached my goal when I could hear a twig snapping near me at that second caused me to jump. Shouts began to echo in the silence as if men were coming closer. A sudden yipe of a wolf pup set my blood on fire.
