Stefan Salvatore

Stefan Salvatore is the younger of the Salvatore brothers, originally a vampire who was turned in 1864 by Katherine Pierce, a woman they both loved. Stefan is compassionate, kind-hearted, and values love and family above all else. He possesses a strong sense of morality and often struggles with his vampiric urges and desire for human blood. Stefan has an affinity for musical composition and performance, a passion he pursues as a cellist. He is initially friends with Damon Salvatore but their dynamic evolves through a complex mix of love, rivalry, and often conflict due to their differing ideologies on what it means to be a vampire. Stefan has a history of forming deep connections with human women, notably Elena Gilbert, and often finds himself torn between the love he has for them and the danger his vampiric nature poses to them.
