I mean, 7 years can make sense as she looks early to mid twenties. Additionally, using the US school system since that is what I know, that could mean they were dating since some time in high school, then throughout their college years. High school is three years - 10th, 11th, and 12th grades - and then a typical college education is roughly 4 years; some are shorter like an associates degree, and some are longer like a masters or a doctorate.
