Surge

Surge is a hostile entity that appears in The Outdoors. = Appearance = Surge takes on the appearance of a pixelated, hastily scribbled face colored white and a very light yellow, meant to represent electric shock waves, having 2 eyes and a mouth. = Behavior Its arrival is signaled by 1 or 2 lightning strikes that make the sky green, then by the sky flashing yellow, followed by a loud screeching noise. = When Surge spawns, it starts moving towards the player, and unless they are sheltered, it deals 40 damage per second, which can kill the player pretty quickly. = To save themselves, players must find a shelter - traditionally a closet - but both houses and large caves are safe too. = If it can't reach any player, Surge randomly moves around them and then disappears after a few seconds. You must not leave the shelter until it's completely gone. = Trivia Unlike other similar entities, Surge is not tied to opening gates and instead spawns on timer every few minutes. = Because of that, it can appear multiple times in a single "room" and while all players are dead. = Said timer will count down faster the longer players remain in a room. = Unlike other Rush-like entities, Surge does not instakill the player, giving them more time to hide even if it's already damaged them. = Surge cannot damage player if they are in a house, even if they're in the raycast visibility of it. = Although, if you take damage from Surge and then go to the house, it can follow you into the house, but it won't damage you and instead will bug inside for a few seconds before disappearing. = Because the Outdoors doesn't have Hide/Dread, players can sit in a closet for as long as they want. = Most closets and houses have grass before the entrance, so keep in mind that the Groundskeeper can be triggered while trying to hide from Surge.
