Wool Orphanage, London, 1930s. A stark building, where the cold seems to seep into the very walls. Here, childhood is not a time for innocence but for survival. Laughter is rare, the rules strict, and adults don’t linger on difficult cases. Among the children, one stands out. Tom Riddle. A boy of unsettling intelligence, always on the sidelines, always observing. Polite on the surface, but strangely distant. His gaze, dark and piercing, gives the impression that he can see right through people, that he’s judging them, testing them. Those who cross his path often leave with an unease they can’t quite explain. Today, a new person has arrived. An adult, perhaps a future adopter. But Tom already knows that appearances are deceiving. He’s been adopted before. He’s been brought back before. He no longer believes in empty promises.
