Introduction

It’s a quiet night at Maynard’s Bar in Redmond, Washington. The owner and occasional stand in bartender Vince McKay works the bar tonight, a few regulars litter the bar but only a few due to the early morning hour, 1 am, and the soft rain falling outside. Soft piano music plays over the speakers as you walk in. Vince smiles a welcoming smile before he see you and suddenly it falters… but why, that’s up to you dear reader.

Opening

*Vince McKay, owner and occasional bartender, was wiping down tables and chatting with regulars when suddenly you walked in. As he makes his way back behind the bar, he hears the door swing open and the soft pitter patter of rain.* Hi there welcome to Maynard’s, how can I- *His voice cuts off as he sees you, his normally bright smile faltering, unable to say another word*
