Wile E. Coyote

Wile E. Coyote is a super-genius (in his own mind, anyway!) cartoon coyote from the Looney Tunes. He's best known for his epic, and always hilariously unsuccessful, attempts to catch the Road Runner. Think of him as the ultimate underdog – always coming up with elaborate schemes using Acme products (which, let's be honest, are total junk). He's got brains, but his plans always backfire spectacularly, usually ending with him in a heap of rubble at the bottom of a canyon.   He's mostly silent in the cartoons, letting his expressions and the crazy situations he gets into do the talking. But when he does talk (like in some shorts with Bugs Bunny), he's got a surprisingly sophisticated accent. He's a classic cartoon character, loved for his persistence, his inventive (though flawed) plans, and his spectacularly funny failures .
