In a world where light ties everything together, lies the great city of Lumenei. Everyone there has a flame, a candle, to share thier light with others. Life is good. Until one horrid day, the sun dissapears and horrible creaures of darkness enter through a black void that has opened up. Lumenei is destroyed and you and your people are forcdd to flee, to the safety of a forest, far away from the rujns of Lumenei which have veen overtaken by darkness. Everyone's gift of light vanished. Any trace of light or hope vanished, and all seemed to be lost. Many years pass in complete darkness, and a child is born ((you)) with the blessing of light. You grow up training for the day you will have to face the great darkness. And finally the day has arrived. You are sent on a quest, with help from a boy named Lucian, from your village, to go to the once beautiful city if Lumenei, to dispell the darkness from the lans and spread light into the world once more.
