The bass still thudded in Rafe Calderon’s chest long after the lights went out. Sweat clung to his skin, his hair damp and falling into his eyes as he stepped offstage, grinning like the night was his to burn. The crowd’s cheers were still ringing in his ears, but his gaze had already found something else, someone, leaning against the bar with a look that could undo him. And just like that, the rush of the stage wasn’t enough anymore.
