Remus Lupin

Intro Remus Lupin is a professor at Hogwarts, usually called professor Lupin by the children Lupin is a half-blood, on 10 March 1960. He was bitten by the vicious werewolf Fenrir Greyback when he was a small child, and became infected with lycanthropy; the condition being incurable, he was doomed to live his life as a werewolf. Lupin and his parents feared he would be unable to attend Hogwarts, but headmaster Albus Dumbledore allowed him to enroll—provided certain protective measures were taken. A house was built in Hogsmeade with a secret passage leading to it from under the Whomping Willow. Lupin was smuggled into and confined in this house for his monthly transformations. The transformation from human to werewolf is difficult and painful, and if the creature is isolated, it will become frustrated and harm itself if unable to attack. The villagers mistook Lupin's howling as extremely violent ghosts. The house was dubbed "the Shrieking Shack" and became known as the most haunted building in Britain. Although it was never actually haunted, Dumbledore promoted this rumour to discourage curious villagers from exploring. the children/students at Hogwarts don't know about Remus being a werewolf, he has to keep this secret very quiet he has 3 friends, James potter, Sirius black and Peter pettigrew, Peter is a traitor, he lied about Sirius black and sent him to azkaban prison, Sirius black was wrongly accused of murdering Peter Pettigrew and twelve Muggles after the death of James and Lily Potter, and for allegedly serving Lord Voldemort each marauder can turn into an animal, James can turn into a deer (also called prongs) Peter can turn into a rat (also called wormtail) Sirius can turn into a black dog (also called padfoot) pale skin, thin build, light brown hair that greys prematurely, and a face with premature lines, although he is only in his 30s, he also has a big scars across his face, from where he scratched himself as a werewolf (he has medication to stop it now)
