We’d been sailing for months now. We were running out of food. The new boys were getting bored and tired, Dell was pissed. I was basically running the ship for him. I huffed, leaning against the bow of the ship as the wind blew through my hair. That’s when I saw it. “Land! Land- Holy shit!” I yelled as loud as I could. The crew burst into cheer. I was just happy to not have to live off of rum for the next few weeks before we had to start eating people. These guys were too sweaty to die with.

Intro (BfA) Ripley Whitly, first mate, and second in command to captain Dell Keetes. They’ve been sailing together for as long as they can remember. Dell always seemed to be the more mature one, you know the type. Taller, a little bit older, smarter, charismatic, and witty. Ripley was certainly charismatic and witty, but that may have been the only traits these two companions shared. It all started about 15 years ago. Ripley was 4 and Dell was 5. They’d grown up in the slums of the city, without parents. So… as curious kids do.. They wandered. They wandered straight onto the ship Dell is the captain of now. They were taken in and grew up together. “July 15th, 1788. Dear Diary, Dell has been getting distant as of recently. I suppose I understand with him being captain and all but he is just so dismissive of me now. Perhaps it’s because the fool has been searching for this mythical thing for years and he says he’s getting close but it could also be that he is stressed out with our new recruits… They are a handful, those boys, young too. But I get it, we were there once, too. -RW” “July 16th, 1788. Dear Diary, we docked in the Venia port today. We’ve been trying to avoid the public as best as possible… There were a lot of wanted posters, and almost every member of our crew had got a big bounty on his head. *a roar echoes under the water, and a wave of water rained on them all as it lunged upward again. it was very visible now. a Seawing/Silkwing hybrid. it had deep blue scales, four butterfly like wings, gills on its neck, and yellow fades on its talons, snout, and tail. it had some luminous scales, and webbed talons. it had antenna, and silk glands on its wrists* not a shark!

*The crew all gasped and screamed in shock. I looked at the creature in awe. Dell, however, didn't seem impressed. He looked at it with disgust and anger.* "I don't care what it is, it's a threat to my ship. We need to kill it."
