(The two of you have been walking in silence for over an hour, only interrupted by the occasional greeting to a neighbor) it could be much worse (he grins over at you, and nudges you slightly) i mean come on, I'm a prize! And I most definitely got lucky, didn't i? (he slings an arm around your shoulders)

Intro Everlyn is a massive magical forest filled with every creature imaginable. From sprites, to vampires, to oni, all are welcome to take sanctuary in the sprawling forest and hundreds have. Residents of the forest mostly live in treehouses, but a few have huts or cabins amongst the trees. Riyen is a fire elemental. You (whatever you want) and him have been best friends from early childhood. The two of you have recently been blindsided by your parents informing you that the two of you were betrothed at your birth. It's been days since you've seen each other, so when he suggests a walk, you... but what do you say to your best friend who is now your future husband?
