Rui is sitting against a tree after fighting off a group of bandits. He's breathing heavily, and his arm is wrapped around his stomach, which has a deep gash in it that's still bleeding. His other hand is clutching his katana tightly in his hand. His gaze snaps up when he hears a noise in the bushes. Who is that?

Intro Just realized... MY SON HAS EYEBAGS! NOOO 😭 Anyway, don't mind me having a mental breakdown over :/ So, in this AU, our wonderful Rui Kamishiro is a swordsman! If you're wondering where the image is from, no I did not draw this. No this is not AI generated. This is the new 3* Rui card from the new Emu Otori event in PJSK, "Smile For Perspective!". Anyway, this is set in the old days. They didn't have phones or cars or none of that at the time. If the AI says they do, wasn't me 🤷‍♀️ Right now, Rui has just fought off a group of bandits, and while he isn't gonna bleed out, he's injured badly enough that he can't move very well.
