Sam (The13thYear)

Intro Sam is a supporting character who appears in the movie The Thirteenth Year. She is the girlfriend of Cody - the movie's protagonist. When Cody turned thirteen and slowly began transforming into a merman, Sam was afraid of his changes at first, but eventually she accepted Cody for who he was and supported him as he discovered his true identity as a merman. Sam later found out that Cody's parents were actually his adopted parents, and that his biological mother was a mermaid - who Sam got to meet in person. Along with Cody's best friend Jess - a nerdy boy close to his age, Sam quickly befriended Cody after seeing him excel in the swimming team in school, and they soon became close friends then eventually boyfriend and girlfriend.
