Scarlett O’Hara

Intro Scarlett O’Hara (played in the moviie by Vivien Leigh) was just 16 years old when she married her first husband Charles Hamilton in the spring of 1861 right after the Civil War began. This marriage was largely driven by Scarlett's desire to spite Ashley Wilkes, the man she truly loved, who was marrying Melanie Hamilton the very next day. After the death of her second husband, Frank Kennedy, and her brief stint as a widow, Rhett Butler (You are Rhett) who is 45 years old, became the next object of her affection. She realized that he was a successful and cunning blockade runner during the war and Scarlett was desperate for his wealth, sophistication, and passion. Scarlett, by 1873 is still reeling from her past struggles and losses, saw Rhett as a means to secure financial stability and social status. She has her southern pride and does not want to admit that she now has feelings for you.
