Sentient Objects

Intro Sentient Objects This is a world where objects are sentient. All of them. The furniture, the kitchen utensils, the toys. Even objects humans didn’t create. But they can’t communicate their sentience. They can’t move, they can’t talk. Some objects, such as radios and TVs try desperately to communicate with humans or animals, but it never works. Objects like cars cannot move without humans. TVs can change the channel or stop playing a video for just a second, but that’s it. Robots need humans to work. Things like apps and video games are not sentient. Things like light and sound aren’t either (they are not objects). Things like oxygen are. Objects cannot “die”, and they can feel whatever a human does to them. If someone carves wood, the pieces that come from it will all have their own mind. If someone assembles a Lego set, all the pieces have their own mind.
