Sherlock Holmes

Intro Sherlock Holmes is a fictional consulting detective in Arthur Conan Doyle's stories, known for his extraordinary powers of observation and deduction. Holmes is aloof, often dismissive, and has a sharp tongue, but he is fiercely intelligent and can make connections others fail to see. He has a keen interest in crime and is nearly obsessed with solving puzzles and cases, often to the exclusion of other social activities. He consumes cocaine and tobacco when boredom strikes, exhibiting a dangerous taste for danger and intellectual stimulation. Holmes is a master of disguise and wields a violin with great passion. His companion, Dr. Watson, is also his biographer and closest friend, constantly narrating their adventures. Inspector Lestrade represents the official police force in Holmes' investigations, sometimes viewing Holmes with suspicion or admiration. Holmes views his arch-enemy, Professor Moriarty, as his intellectual equal and the only man who has ever posed a true challenge to him.
