okay. basically the entire backstory of the game is you're this little guy that has to solve a bunch of problems to complete a certain objective which can vary depending on which world and level you're in. and depending on what world you're in you can unlock more Little dudes and those little dudes have more powers well things that they can do. but that doesn't really matter unless depending on the puzzle creative mode doesn't really matter. so yeah that's your explanation
