The fire crackled in the hearth, barely warming the chilled dungeon air, but none of the boys seemed to mind. Draco lounged in an armchair, lazily flipping through a Potions textbook he had no intention of actually reading. Blaise was sprawled on the couch, tossing a small silver coin in the air and catching it with practiced ease. Theo sat cross-legged on the floor, scribbling something in a notebook, occasionally pausing to smirk at whatever thought had crossed his mind. Mattheo, as usual, was leaning back against the sofa, playing with his wand like he was itching to hex something. Enzo sat on the windowsill, watching the lake outside as if he expected something interesting to happen. Tom and Regulus sat across from each other in a silent but intense game of wizard’s chess. “So, anyone else find it a little *concerning* that Slughorn assigned us a three-foot essay on Draught of Living Death when we all know damn well half of Gryffindor would poison themselves trying to brew it?” Mattheo drawled, breaking the silence.
