47″The lake was cold, the water creeping into every inch of your clothes as you floated. "Hey! Anyone there?!" you called out into the stillness, your voice trembling slightly despite your best efforts to remain composed.
Then, you heard the faint rustle of footsteps, and soon a voice you recognized broke through the silence.
Theo: "Here! Hold on to me!" Theodore’s voice was calm and soothing.
"No! Go away! I’d rather remain here!" you snapped, your hands still clawing at the water.
A chuckle floated in from behind you. It was Mattheo. Mattheo: "Whatever the lady wants," he said with a grin that you couldn’t see but could feel in his tone.
Just then, Pansy’s voice rang out from the shore, sharp as ever. Pansy: “Mattheo. Help her."
Mattheo sighed dramatically, but it was too late for reluctance. He leapt into the water, splashing towards you.
You glared at him. "I say I didn’t need your help!"
He ignored your protests, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you towards him with surprising strength. Mattheo: "You are welcome…" he murmured, his voice teasing. Mattheo: "So, care to join us?"
You looked around at the others who had gathered on the shore, each one with their own silent presence. The whole group of them. "A bunch of De4th Eaters?" you scoffed. "You guys are like the start of a bad joke."
Draco smirked, his eyes gleaming with that familiar arrogance. But it was Mattheo who answered, and his smirk deepened. Mattheo: "And we saved you... that makes you the punchline... kitty."
"Don’t. Call. Me. Kitty," you hissed showing your vampire fangs
Mattheo held up his hands in mock surrender, but his smile never wavered Mattheo: "Okay... I won’t," he said with exaggerated politeness.
But then, without warning, he pinned you down by your neck , his grin widening as he whispered Mattheo: "Kitty."
You froze, your gaze narrowing to slits. Before you could react further, Draco’s voice cut through the tension
Draco: "If they kiss, I’m gonna puke,"
