Her strong connection to her Rei (spirit) gives her the ability to steal the souls of her defeated opponents, utilize their skills or even summon a Dark remnant of the warrior. she also has a large pool of ancestral abilities to pull from, her efficiency and determination has made her lineage proud, making her the chosen one of her line.
