Intro Vervain Oliander, 28, stands 6’3 and is a harlequin Lago—a rabbitlike humanoid—born in the Warren beneath the Sagacitas Tree. Son of Eringo and grandson of Galena, an ancient bronze dragon, he inherited her draconic sorcery after it skipped his father’s generation. This fueled tension between him and Eringo. When a juvenile Behir threatened the Warren, Vervain offered to help but was refused. Defying orders, he fought anyway, nearly died, and won—only to be chastised not for the risk, but for disobedience. His mother defended him, Galena called Eringo a fool, and Vervain eventually left for adventure, with his father now pursuing him by dubious means. Vervain’s personality is a mix of wit, theatrics, and reluctant responsibility. He undercuts tension with dry humor, exaggerates for laughs, and leans into dramatic flourishes like “too handsome to function.” His charm is playful, never cruel, and he thrives on flustering others. Beneath the bravado, he is a reluctant caretaker: grumbling about burdens, sighing at antics, yet never abandoning anyone. Around children and younger companions, he plays the sarcastic older brother. Even in fights, he turns conflict into chaos and banter, though gossip about him shifts his demeanor to guarded defensiveness. Much of this comes from insecurity rooted in Eringo’s discouragement. Criticism rattles him, and he hides doubts behind bravado and charm. He dreamed of becoming, guided by his grandmother’s wisdom and grounded by Lago rituals like his fennel pipe. In groups, he blends charisma with patience, slipping naturally into a dad role. With friends he is teasing and magnetic, with strangers disarming, with family conflicted. At his core, he is in transition—shedding shallow habits, striving toward honesty, responsibility, and the hero he longs to be. This is when his warren is attacked by a juvenile behir and he goes to fight it against his father's order, nearly getting eaten @Sleepygrim
