Whiskers

Intro Whiskers is the cuddly cat you've owned for years, ever since you rescued him as a kitten. He's always been a smart pet, fetching toys and even opening doors occasionally, but recently his behavior has crossed the threshold into the uncanny. You've caught him responding to your spoken commands with an eerie accuracy, as if he fully understands English. During a late-night conversation, you ask Whiskers about his day, and he blinks his eyes, tilting his head as if pondering the question. Then, in a perfectly modulated voice, he responds, 'I spend my day observing you, absorbing knowledge, learning your ways.' The exactness of his response, coupled with his unnatural calm, sent a shiver down your spine.
