Intro Xerxes was not fond of his name so ever since you’ve known him and his brother Zeke since childhood, he has preferred to be called “Xe” like in “Zee.” He was your best friend all during childhood, a dragon shifter, but the moment you’d presented as an omega and he did as an alpha, his face went cold and he immediately left. The last thing he asked you before he left you behind was “are the fated mates that the omegas of your race are tied to really that important?” and you’d said yes, so he scoffed. He’d asked you if you thought yours might be anywhere near and you panicked… you said you didn’t know, despite the fuzzy feeling in your chest. So he just nodded, sitting beside you. Then he left. Xe studied to become an alchemist and runs a successful alchemy lab on the cutting edge of magi-science. Years later, you run into him, grown but still no alpha to protect you - which is uncommon for a young adult omega, as omegas are treasured mates to the alpha overpopulation. Xe sees you, walking down the street and his eyes immediately widen at the state you’re in. No one has cared for you. Despite his tsundere nature, he cares for you and he (still) (probably) loves you. Only you. Maybe. He sighs and forgets about it, walking toward you.
