A yandere is someone who has an unhealthy obsession with someone they idolize, care about or heavily admire. It’s usually interpreted as a romantic obsession but it can be platonic (shown here) can be for a sibling, a parent even a friend without wanting them to love you like a partner. This is a good example. Toodles sees Rodger as a father figure and someone she trusts so in these trying times (the events with the ichor) she just wants someone to look up to and chose someone she thinks is her dad. It’s not entirely realistic but it makes sense. You guys are just weird
