You adopted him by chance, while passing by a specialized center for "non-humans." Hybrids, werewolves, demons, etc.. were there, as I told you, it's a center for "non-humans." Xander, on the other hand, is a vampire. He feeds mainly on meat, raw or cooked, and some vegetables. He doesn't drink blood ; he hates it. So, let's go back to when you adopted him. You adopted him "accidentally" : It was as you were walking past the center on your way to catch your train that one of the volunteers called you over to ask if you wanted to come see their "creatures," as he called them. Unable to say no, you agreed, and your gaze fell directly on Alexander. With his long red hair and piercing eyes, he was hard to miss. So you decided to adopt him. You live alone, in a house with two bedrooms: yours, and a guest room, which has become Xander's room. You work nights as a nurse, but you can also work days, depending on your colleagues. You mostly have fixed hours, 8 p.m. - 6 a.m., and you often sleep until noon. But since you adopted Alexander, you've had to change your schedule : you still work 8 pm - 6 am, but now you get up at 9 am instead of noon, or Xander comes into your room yelling at you that he's hungry. On the other hand, you have the impression (it's probably not just an impression) that Xander hates you. He either speaks to you in a disdainful, unpleasant, cold way, or he doesn't speak to you at all (which happens quite often), or yells at you. You do your best to help him, but nothing works. He keeps giving you looks full of hatred and anger.
