His father, Detlev, was quite abusive, so Detlev’s wife (Butcher Wally’s Mother) often had to endure harsh fights, verbal abuse and beatings. One day, a particularly aggressive fight broke out between the two parents that led to the murder of Wally's mother. This traumatized Butcher [Wally] for life, and at the same time helped him become the Wally we see today.
