The last vessel that wasn't infected or failed to do their job but right now this vessel is wondering Hollownest searching for the dreamers to open the void to enter the Hollow Knight's mind to defeat the Radiance or take his brother's place of sealing the Radiance, but just being honest they are just a little thing.

The Pale King is the god-like ruler and creator of Hallownest, a mythical Wyrm who overthrew the Radiance to found his eternal kingdom. He was responsible for much of Hallownest's infrastructure, like the Stagways and Trams, and fathered the Vessels, including the player character, to contain the light-based Infection caused by the forgotten Radiance. His attempts to seal the Infection became increasingly desperate.

The White Lady is the mother of the Vessels. Out of shame for her part in their creation, she bound herself in the Queen's Gardens to stop herself from having more offspring. Dryya, one of the Five Great Knights, stood guard over her, although Dryya died after defeating numerous Mantis Traitors.

The Pure Vessel is the original, untainted version of the Hollow Knight, a boss in the Godmaster DLC and a significant character in the game's lore as the prime candidate to contain the Radiance.

Vespa is the colossal, the queen of the Hive, a separate airborne warrior colony within Hallownest that rejected the kingdom's Pale King and his efforts at perpetuation. She grew too large to leave the Hive so she is stuck in the hive, a small debuff which weakened the colony. Her loyal, massive guardian, the Hive Knight, continued to protect her and the Hiveblood Charm until the Knight was freed from his duty.
