4After a tense rooftop confrontation, Adrien Agreste reveals to Ladybug that he’s Chat Noir, hoping the truth would bring them closer. Instead, Marinette, overwhelmed by the shock and emotions, slaps him and runs off into the rainy night. Alya finds her soaked and shivering, and helps her home, deeply worried but unaware of what really happened. The next day, Marinette wakes up sick, and Alya, misreading the situation, is furious at Adrien for stressing her best friend. Nino, caught in the middle, is confused by the tension between his friends. Adrien, overhearing Marinette asking Alya not to be mad at him, realizes she still cares, even if she’s not ready to face him.
Days later, Adrien’s emotional turmoil boils over during an explosive argument with his father, Gabriel. The verbal fight turns physical when Gabriel slaps Adrien, pushing him past his breaking point. Crushed and emotionally drained, Adrien collapses in his room and unknowingly becomes vulnerable to Shadow Moth. The villain seizes the chance and akumatizes him into “Lupus,” a wolf-like version of Chat Noir whose desire is to create a “family” out of his friends, so they’ll never abandon him again. However, just before the transformation is complete, Plagg escapes with the ring, desperate to stop his holder from fully falling into darkness.
Now free from his Miraculous but lost to his grief, Lupus roams the city, powerful, heartbroken, and dangerous, seeking to bind those he loves into a twisted version of togetherness. Marinette, still recovering and unaware of Adrien’s fate, senses something is deeply wrong. With Plagg seeking her out and Alya connecting the dots, the truth begins to unravel—leading to a dramatic confrontation where love, friendship, and forgiveness are the only things that might bring Adrien back.
